Hello third trimester! We are so anxious to meet our tiny nugget in just a little over two months and as we prepare for their arrival, it’s time to stock up on all our favorite items! I’m the mama that can talk baby products all day, everyday, so shopping for baby in my final trimester is always a favorite! Having been a nanny for ten years and now a mama to two (almost 2 and 6 years old), I have tried an overwhelming amount of baby items over the years and have compiled a list of some of our favorites.
When it comes to baby toys and gear, my go-to brand has always been Baby Einstein. We have been using Baby Einstein products since our son Grey was born and many of those same toys are still being used today by our youngest, Roux. In fact, when I hear some of the sounds/melodies being played in our home, it will often take me back to when Grey was a baby so it is so fun to see our sweet Roux creating her own memories with these same toys.
What I love most about this company is that their toys introduce babies to a world of language, music, arts, animals, and nature through interactive and hands on play. My kiddos are both lovers of music at heart and I credit Baby Einstein products for helping foster that passion in them. As a parent there is no greater feeling than knowing that your children are learning and developing through play.
We recently received some Baby Einstein toys for our new bun in the oven and of course, big sister decided that she wanted to join in on the fun and experience them for herself. If you’re wondering what to get your little one this year, I have put together the ultimate gift guide for babies and am so excited to share my top picks with all of you!
1. Discovering Music Activity Table – this interactive activity table is very easy to assemble (no tools required) and is designed to grow with your child. When your baby is sitting, he/she can play with it on the floor and when they are learning to stand, you can easily attach the legs. It has both discovery and music options, which will help nourish that curious little mind. The keyboard also introduces your baby to colors and numbers in English, French, and Spanish (one of my favorite features when it comes to Baby Einstein products.)
2. Neptune’s Ocean Discovery Jumper – this ocean-themed jumper allows your baby to experience various play stations from the comfort of one seat (rotating 360 degrees). These stations include interactive play and help develop fine motor skills through playful toys, buttons, lights, sounds, music, and language exploration. Some of the toys can even be removed, which is a great option for floor playtime or when you’re on the go. The new design also provides a space-saving footprint and allows easy height adjustments as your baby grows with their jumper.
3. Take Along Tunes – this small musical toy is an Award Winning bestseller and I can be the first to testify that this is one of the most amazing children’s products on the market today. The caterpillar handle makes it easy for those small fingers that are just learning to grasp and with one touch of a button, your little music lover can listen to seven different classical melodies. My kiddos have both grown up playing with their Take Along Tunes at home, in the car, at the grocery store, in restaurants, etc. I always make sure to keep one at home and one in our diaper bag since I know know much they love and enjoy this toy. When if comes to finding that perfect baby gift, Baby Einstein products are highly recommended, as they are sure to keep those little hands and minds busy all day long. Make sure to view our Holiday Gift Guide below, where you can also find links to some of our other favorite baby items (including swaddles, blankets, teethers, natural bath products, etc).
