Nothing says Christmas like our delicious Brown Sugar Pound cake. It’s become tradition for us to bake it on Christmas Eve but if I’m honest, we make it a few times a year because it’s just that yummy! This buttery, dense, mouth-watering cake is always a crowd pleaser and will leave your guests impressed (and begging for seconds)! This recipe is perfect for those who love to bake with easy ingredients and minimal effort, leaving you plenty of time to bake your other Christmas favorites! Enjoy!

Brown Sugar Pound Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 sticks room temperature butter
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9x5x3 loaf pan
- In a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time and vanilla, beating on low speed until combined
- In a separate, large-sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt until combined
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat on medium speed until combined
- Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean
- Remove from pan and let cool completely on a wire rack before glazing
Brown Sugar Glaze
Ingredients:
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon whole milk
- Pinch of sea salt
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add brown sugar and raise the heat to medium/high. Boil, stirring constantly for a few minutes
- Add milk and return to a boil, still stirring constantly
- Remove from heat and mix in sea salt and vanilla. Let cool for 10 minutes
- Sift powdered sugar over the mixture and whisk until smooth
- Pour glaze over pound cake and allow to set before enjoying
