Poppy’s Winter Onederland

I am finally getting a moment to sit down and share all of the details from Poppy Bleu’s Winter Onederland party and I am still in disbelief that our precious Birdie is 1! It has been so fun watching her little personality unfold over the past year. She has filled our hearts and home with such a sweet joy and we cannot even begin to imagine our lives without her.

When it came time to plan her special day, we settled on a Winter Onederland theme. She is my winter baby (born in February) and since this mama was slightly in denial about having to take down the Christmas tree, it was perfect!

On the day of her party, we gathered in our home with our closest friends and family and enjoyed chili, hot cocoa, and the yummiest birthday treats! It was such a magical day from start to finish and I’m so excited to share these pictures with you all. A big thank you to our precious and talented friend Rachel Shamberg for helping us capture this special day! We will hold onto and cherish these photos forever! If you’d like to see more of Rachel’s work, you can follow her on Instagram here.

When it comes to custom party/event invites, Laura from Frills Paper + Goods is our go-to girl! She has such a creative eye for design and really has this gift of being able to bring your vision to life! We always fall in love with everything she creates!

I can’t believe how tiny our baby bird looks! We purchased these 4×4 photo prints from Snapfish and hung them on baker’s twine. If you’re looking to add a sweet and inexpensive touch to any party/event, this is always a great idea!

These beautiful fringe garlands came from Ellenor Shop and made the perfect winter wonderland backdrop! They were so easy to hang and I love that I can use them again and again! You can enjoy 25% off your purchase with code MIA25 at checkout. We managed to find fresh pine online from an awesome shop called Christmaslive. We purchased one bundle and it was enough to make a garland for our table and we even had extra pieces for decorating our cake.

Poppy’s cake was made by her sweet Grandma Jo and was inspired by a cake that I had seen made by Jennifer over at @livinglifewithcarter. We decorated it with mini maple donuts from our favorite donut shop, Hello Sugar and topped it with the cutest deer that can be found here.

We placed a custom order for these yummy snowflake sugar cookies and cupcakes through the best bakeshop in town, Sweet Frostings and as you can see, Miss Roux couldn’t keep her hands off of them! If you’re local in Spokane or just passing through, you have to stop in at one of their four locations and grab a salted caramel cupcake! I promise you won’t regret it!

This gorgeous Winter Onederland cake topper can be found at KbPaperCo.

Poppy is wearing a fawn bonnet from one of our favorite shops, Native Fable. They carry the sweetest animal bonnets year round and the quality is always top notch!

I ordered these snowflakes last minute from Amazon (gotta love Amazon Prime). We hung them from the ceiling with fishing wire and they were a great addition to the party decor.

The hot cocoa bar was so fun to put together and I love how it all came together. I purchased the Hot Cocoa sign here and the cups/sleeves here.

Poppy’s crochet tights are from Little Light Feet. Their tights are always the best fitting!

I typically buy all our balloons from eBay because I’ve found them to be the best priced. You can find the letter balloons here and the solid metallic balloons here.

Roux is wearing the B.F.F Tutu Dress from our all time favorite tutu shop, iloveplum!

Grey walked around the party taking photos with his Father’s Factory camera from Mineminekids. It is such a fun camera for kids and takes real photos!

Poppy’s velvet dress is from Nordstrom but sold out – so sorry! Her sweet snowflake headband is from Maddie & Bean.

We received this personalized banner as well as twinkle lights (used on party table) from our sweet friends Meghan and Ginny over at Haven + Pine. They create beautiful products to help encourage others in their haven making. Their motto is “Steward well the moments you’ve been given” and let me tell you, these two besties are such beautiful examples of this! You can follow them on Instagram here.

These custom Winter Onederland stickers were made by Frills Paper + Goods.

We sent our guests home with party favors from some of our favorite shops! Gorgeous velvet bows from Wunderkin Co, the softest polar bear towels from Natemia, and these fun Playfoam Pals from Learning Resources (my kids play with these for hours!)

A big thank you to all our friends and family who braved the real winter wonderland in Spokane that day to help us celebrate our girl!
